Some of the things I love: Window Book leaders connecting with USPS and top postal industry leaders

The recent National Association of Presort Mailers (NAPM) annual meeting in Orlando was a great example.

USPS Postmaster General Megan Brennan was presenting, listening and taking notes on suggestions from Window Book leaders and other top mailing industry leaders to make the mail relevant and grow the industry.

Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) Chairman Robert G. Taub presented industry challenges and listened attentively to the industry leaders’ suggestions related to having input earlier in the regulatory process. Window Book’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Steve Lopez, enjoyed spending time with Chairman Taub, as they have known each other professionally for almost a decade. They worked on various postal issues dating back to when Chairman Taub was chief of staff for Congressman McHugh (R-NY). Steve said “having someone like Chairman Taub leading the review of Postal Accountability & Enhancement Act of 2006 (PAEA) under regulatory review is key for mailers, as he has extensive knowledge of the Industry concerns before PAEA and hands-on experience with the law that eventually morphed into PAEA”.

NAPM Executive Director and CEO Bob Galaher and other NAPM leaders do a fantastic job of getting top USPS and industry leaders together at their annual meeting in Orlando. Having a MLOCR/Presort as part of your strategy is becoming more and more important. Connecting with leaders at the NAPM annual event is something I love to do and suggest to you, too. It is one of the best ways to learn and to be heard to ensure our industry grows and prospers.
