Face-to-Face Time with Clients and the Window Book Team

Reconnecting with clients and getting the Window Book team together at trade shows is something I love.

After 28 years of going to mailing industry trade shows, I've grown to appreciate the opportunity to meet with existing clients, bring our distributed company together, and meet new mailers. We just got back from Print 17, held in Chicago from September 10-14, and it was a big success in different ways than years past.

Window Book has team members and clients all over the United States and many parts of the world. Print 17 was a great opportunity to see them in person as well as meet innovative new mailers. Meeting face-to-face is a really nice change from the normal web meetings, phone calls, emails and texts. I love to get together and have a meal, share ideas around a table, and have conversations that go on for hours sometimes. Due to the fact that we have so many people in so many places, we can have team members that have worked together for years but haven't actually met face to face. Yes, some people don’t like to travel, but occasionally it really is worth it to have them get on a plane, go to a new city and work for a week on the road at or near a trade show. This year, our developers Tom Leech and Vadim Sinyavskiy, who have worked together for over 10 years, got to meet in person for the first time!

Trade shows are changing for us. The attendance at the shows have gone down, so the time that we get to spend with each client has increased. At Print 17 we were able to spend hours with existing clients to show them new technologies that lower costs and reduce troubles. We showed prospective clients how they could grow their business with automating postal information, reducing postage cost, and reducing labor with new API calls. Window Book’s Developers, Product Leaders, Sales Team, and Professional Services staff at the show got to sit at the same table and take time to really dig in, collaborate, and come up with better solutions.

We will be at the National Association of Presort Mailers (NAPM) Annual Meeting in Orlando from February 20-22, 2018; The National Postal Forum (NPF) in San Antonio from May 6-9, 2018; and GRAPH EXPO 18 in Chicago next year from September 30 to October 3. Now that industry events have changed from being lots of people coming in and passing contact information to an event with more in-depth meetings, we highly recommend that you contact us before the show so we can set aside time for OUR team to help YOUR team Grow and Prosper in your mailing and shipping operations with some of our customizable postal solutions. If you can't make it to a show, please email postalspecialist@windowbook.com and ask for a session on The Beam. We will give you the ability to drive our beam in our booth and at the next show. You will “virtually” meet with people face to face by driving our electronic telepresence device and even see some of the other attractions at one of these upcoming shows. In person is the best way to connect, but if that isn’t going to happen, connect electronically.

To your organization’s growth and prosperity!
